That's as good as it gets.

Let's hope it's dropped onto the new album.

Update 12 hours later playing this on repeat - my Christmas Song for 2012.

Cheers Santa!

Loving it.

Generally, can't help but like the Phil Spectre Xmas stuff – a bit cheesy I know but that kind of music was always on in our house when I was a kid – Darlene Love, what a star. Me and my sisters used to pretend we were the Ronettes, singing into felt tips and borrowing my mum's dresses – she had one that was Rayon and looked like oil in a puddle – god, I'd love to get my hands on it now.

Went to the Carole King Xmas thing that Richard played at last Xmas and Gregory Porter did this.

You could hear the collective heave of bosoms as every woman in the room fell in love just a little bit. x

With you on this Helen. Went to see Ronnie Spector's Christmas gig when we were in NYC in 2007......cheesy yes, but a right laugh and fitted in with all the other usual NYC Christmas stuff.

Hey Al, good choices! Last year we went on holiday to France and the week before we arrived Kid Creole and the Coconuts had played a concert on the beach. I said to my son how good that would've been cos I could've listened to one of my secret guilty pleasures whilst dancing on the beach in my bikini. Can still picture the look of pure disgust on his face at the thought of it. Will stay with me forever... x

Bit late but I love Christmas songs, not the usual fare on offer, I love Kate Rusbys Christmas albums and I've been listening to the cd that came free with mojo magazine one year (Mojo's festive 15) which features Mr Hawley himself singing silent night, lots of quirky songs on there I LOVE Marc Almonds song on it, Heart of snow and there's offerings from Sea of bees, others I'd never heard of but a welcome chane from Slade and Aled. Also this year I bought She and Him Christmas album (Zoey Deschanel and M.Ward) and Tracey Thorne's (formerly of Everything but the girl) christmas album Tinsel adn Lights and we have been listening to them. To be honest Christmas and New Year have been pants this year so I am looking forward to packing away the trimmings and the Christmas tunes and getting on with what 2013 has to offer......

Oh the temptation to get the playlist going early. Roll on Sunday. Christmas itself can wait.
