A friend just drew my attention to this guy, remarking on the Hawley-esque quality of it. I have to agree with him!

I had to double check this is indeed from 1971 as it sounds pretty contemporary to me.

This was the first time I heard of MC - it was a track on Harvest Festival, a compilation album my brother bought which introduced us to quite a few musicians.

:shock: never heard of him....how on earth did I miss out? :eh? That night drive song is ace I shall make enquiries thank you....I feel the same as I did the first time I heard David Wiffen in Canada years ago....it's like a light being turned on.... :idea:

This is weird, been listening to the album ‘50’ for a few days, come on here and see he has passed away, very sad.

‘Sometimes You Just Drive’ is a toe tapping anthem for me.
