Update:

If you go to http://www.spoombung.co.uk/ and click on News, you'll see the following:

-----

More info on the imminent Stump release -it was originally set for early October but as Universal Records have just taken over Sanctuary Records (and the place is in termoil) this may delay things and it could be released early in the new year instead. Below is the track listing - (it's 3 CDs, not 2 as some sources say) and you'll notice there are many unreleased tracks that make up the 'Post Pancake' album. I'll keep you all posted.

STUMP: THE COMPLETE ANTHOLOGY

Disc 1.
(Mud on a Colon & Quirk Out)

1 Tupperware Stripper
2. Our Fathers
3. Kitchen table
4. Buffalo
5. Everything in its Place
6. Bit Part Actor
7. Orgasm Way
8. Ice the Levant
9. Grab Hands
10. 55-0-55
11. Big End

Disc 2.
(A fierce Pancake)

1. Living it Down
2. In the Green
3. Roll the bodies Over
4. Bone
5. Eager Bereaver
6. Choas
7. Alcohol
8. Charlton Heston
9. Heartache
10. Doctor (a Visit to)
11. A Fierce Pancake
12. Boggy Home

Disc 3.
(Post Pancake)

1. The Queen & the Pope
2. Seven Sisters
3. The Rats
4. Warm in the Knowledge
5. The Song’s Remains
6. Safe Sex
7. The Lipstick Maker
8. Maggie
9. Love is too small a Word
10. Ice the Levant (88’ version)
11. Thelma
12. Angst Forecast
13. Heathers in Shelter

-----

How about THAT, then?

Of course, Amazon will keep sending emails telling us that they're sorry but it's been delayed, until they finally cancel the order on our behalf, one week before the final release date. This will happen despite the slightly-retitled or slightly more detailed product showing elsewhere on their site with the correct release date. At least, that's what happened to me over Summer, when that Real Life Permanent Dreams box set of UK Psychedelia was released!

Its great that this stuff is seeeing the light of day (and getting a CD release). But I can't help being a tad vexed that I'll have to shell out for 3 CDs for about 1 CD worth of stuff I haven't already got. Oh well. "Santa!...........

www.amazon.co.uk are offering it for £11.99 which isn't bad for 3 CDs.

That's true - and I suppose then I'd have a copy of fierce pancake and quirk out that can live in the car. Could lead to some erratic driving..........

Not to mention friends and colleagues looking baffled when you emerge singing "How much is the fish? How much is the fish? How much is the chips?"

Have you spotted the Charlton Heston video on You Tube - wonderfully silly. And there's a live performance of Tupperware Stripper.

No release date yet (Kev says in the next two months) but there's some photos of the product now on his page:

Oddly coincidental! I took at look at Kev's page and spotted those pictures, having received the following message from www.amazon.co.uk via email this morning:

Dear Customer,

We wanted to give you an update on the status of your order #202-9245915-2127521.

We are sorry to inform you that we have been unable to obtain the
following item:

Stump (Artist) "A Fierce Pancake and Before [Box set]" [Audio CD]

We apologise for the length of time it has taken us to reach this conclusion. Until recently, we had still hoped to obtain this item for you.

This item has now been cancelled from your order and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it.

Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience
caused.

Great aren't they - the album is definitely going to be released, the Stump guys have already had their advance for it.
