for the record, Dave you clearly have superlative taste. I have had flowers on almost constant repeat this week.

Aha - someone else who uses the "man with no arms " phrase. Where does that come from then?

My mum says "spends his money like a man with no arms" - and even she doesn't know why (not that it matters cos she's from Leeds, so she's always right ...) beyond a vague feeling that he can't block his pockets up.

Stephen Stills 'Do For The Others' is also a strong contendor for tune of the day

i have absolutely no idea where i picked it up from but guess where i'm from...............leeds! it must be a local thing. another one is 'a head like ten men' to describe a hangover. god knows what it means.

Today it's mostly been "I'd like to cut Monty's heart out with a spoon, fry it a little chilli oil, and serve it back to him served with a Baileys and mashed peas compote, the thieving bastard", by ThePissFlaps.

currently floating my boat is a song just recorded by a certain band called Mashed Peas & Heroin. That band ladies & gentlemen are The Pissflaps.

The B-side is also great, Down On Your Donkey.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.
