I think New Adventures might be my fave REM album too. I've been listening to it a lot in the last week. Got it on loan from the library but will definitely be buying it.

hey guys, I went in Dublin last July for the live rehearsal 5 night at the Olympia Theatre and i have to say that the new album will be fuckin great, very rock and loud. will be their best since new adventure in hi-fi.

Anyway, the new single (supernatural superserious) is out.

a couple of us from the forum went too, the general feeling was that a couple of songs really did stand out as being great just from hearing them that once even, but the jury was out on a few of them, still a lot has probably changed since then, looking forward to hearing the album though in its finished state. Defo more rock on this time.

Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Your memory hasn't aged well. I seem to remember they'd simply turned the volume up, but forgotten to write any songs. Only stand out 'new' track was "I'm gonna DJ...." which has been doing the rounds for ages anyway. God knows i hope i'm wrong though as it's going to be fucking painful if they deliver anything as dull as the last few. :(

They launched a new mini site for the new album Accelerate.

you can find inside news about the album and about the tour, and in the 'audio' section you can listen to the new single and to 30 sec each for news songs Until The Day Is Done and Horse To Water.

once again, Accelerate will be their best album since New Adventures...

I read a review in Q magazine i think which gave the new album a decent review, have to say the last one i got was Monster, like the ones before also Out of Time and Automatic,it would be great to see a return to form, although not having heard their stuff since Monster others would know better.
