On Saturday April 10th, WagonWheel Presents... has another night of top quality musical entertainment in store at The Grapes. We welcome back two old favourites in the shape of Andrea Glass and Garron Frith, along with newcomer to the WagonWheel stage Jon T. Angle & The Spirit Levels. Both Andrea and Garron are currently hard at work on the follow ups to their debut albums and tonight you can expect solo offerings of some of that new material. Doors open at 8pm and advance tickets priced at £4 are available now from Wegottickets.com (booking fees apply http://www.wegottickets.com/event/74394 ). Entry on the night will be £5.

***ANDREA GLASS***

Bolton's Andrea Glass stunning debut album has been causing quite a stir. After being discovered by American Country star Kevin Montgomery (whom she supported on his 2007 UK tour), Andrea was whisked to Nashville in July that year where she recorded 'Stood Under Stars' with a host of fine musicians, including Montgomery himself and renowned pedal steel player Al Perkins. Radio 2's Bob Harris picked up on the record, and has been regularly featuring tracks on his show. Andrea describes her influences as 'cowboy boots, flocked wallpaper, tea, notebooks, everything about autumn, all things coastal, trains, long journeys and maps' and her finely crafted songs cast the impression of a life spent on the road.

***GARRON FRITH***

Garron Frith is a songwriter from the North West of England. After a gig with Grand Drive’s Danny George Wilson he met musician/producer Simon J Alpin, the result was them making Garron's self titled debut album. It was recorded in various hotel rooms, studios and houses everywhere from London, San Francisco, Spain to Manchester. It features 10 acoustic based songs with a wide range of musicians from Grand Drive, The Willard Grant Conspiracy to Green on Red’s Chuck Prophet all adding a delicate backdrop to the songs.

The album received critical acclaim, Sunday Express called it a “Beautiful country rock gem of an album”- 5/5, Maverick said he was “One of the North West's best kept secrets - that is until now!” 4/5, “Highly enjoyable, Recommended”- wrote Acoustic Magazine and Manchester Music called him “One of Manchester’s most underrated singer-songwriters”. Radio and internet stations championed the album and this led to Garron being asked to open for musicians like, The Saw Doctors, Imelda May, Glen Tilbrook and Midge Ure.

His new album is expected very soon.

***JOHN T. ANGLE & THE SPIRIT LEVELS***

John T. Angle is a grizzled old train driver who moonlit a bit in Bristol (South West England, not Tennessee) and has now returned to his roots. He sings torch songs about a range of subjects with his band the Spirit Levels (who remain quite private people despite their love of music.) Whether singing about dragons or devils or greek gods or the future he's sure to wear his heart on his sleeve and bare a little piece of his soul just for you.
