I saw a great local band The Blackbirds down at Club60 near Shalesmoor last night. Club 60 is an incredible place, my first time down there, it's like The Cavern. Truly great place and awesome band - raw blues power, original songs, Robert Johnson, Cream, all sorts of influences to my ears like Jack White, Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys. One of the best nights of my life in probably the coolest place ever.

Top band and a great set of lads. gigged with them a few times, and was meant to be down there on Sat but couldn't make it.
My band Roaming Son had the pleasure of playing there just before Christmas along with the Mudcats Blues Trio (check the sneaky link!)
Great place, we've booked in to do some recording there.
