I wonder if visually impaired people write in to the BBC to complain about the commentators talking about blind spots, re-spots and generally making remarks about ball polishing without any great vision or detail ?? I still remember when you listened on radio and they had the snooker table split up into segments A-F which you got free in the newspaper (if the dog hadn't ripped it up first of course trying to pull it through the letterbox ) ...and when the white ball stopped the commentator just annouced surly as obvious to anyone with intelligence and who had studied angular projectile dimensions with length times hypothesis divided by gravitational pull and reactive/disactives as to which segment it had landed in and how many other balls were in that segment...no individual colours or anything..I mean this was still the black and white era... mind you some people actually relish being hard of hearing than listen to Terry Griffiths...an insomniacs perfect dreamboat...
