Any leather jacket fans on here should have a look at Goldtop motorcycle jackets. I've just treated myself to one & am very impressed by it. Been looking for years to replace my teenage leather bike jacket, which I lived & died in. Still have it but it seems to have shrunk..... All the modern ones are either armoured to the hilt for fast bike riding, or 'biker style' which is rather flimsy casual wear. Either way they all come from far away places & seem to be made of something which doesn't quite resemble leather. This one is the proper job. I have a new best friend!

Have all the insomniacs gone to bed already, or are you all over on Face-ache? Whilst the forum has been down I've been spending time on YouTube in the small hours, reacquainting myself with stuff I haven't heard in years. Still missed this though. 8)

Well, it's ten years today that I joined the Hawleyboard! I really don't know what I would have done without it. Seriously. Here's to the next ten ..> ..>

Nostalgia corner tonight. Posting here on my recently resurrected 12 year old laptop, after it was given a new lease of life whilst my modern one was being fixed. New hard drive & Windows 7 (!) have made the old girl fly again & what a pleasure it is to use. Reassuringly solid & heavy, with soft keyboard, bright screen & great speakers. Ok, it's a touch hesitant & the software has a limited life now but it's like being back in your Classic car. They don't make them like they used to. :geek:

Time to enter a new chapter. Royal Enfield Bullets seem to get heavier the older you get so it's back to my carefree days on a 250. A new bike is currently pending delivery. Something different, yet familiar. Full of eastern promise you might say. I'm besotted already & have assigned 'Is There A Pill' as a theme song to my adventures in the autumn. Sad old fart.

I just wanted to say that, whilst I haven't booked for any of the gigs on the current tour, I'm keeping fully up to date via FaceAche & am enjoying all the videos & photos that folks are putting up there. The new album is fantastic & I hope Richard, the band and the audiences are all having a brilliant time. :D ..> :thumright:

Flaming hell. You get back to work after New Year & find that a very popular, well liked, colleague passed away, suddenly, on New Year's eve. I was working with him on Monday night, having a laugh. Bless you Martyn, you were one of the good guys.

Puts it all into perspective - had a friend die of a heart attack in early December and I still haven't come to terms with it - just have to keep on keepin' on...
