just cos you're at work. vodka time! going off at a tangent, some cheeky bastard pupil at school today said, 'do you know who you look like sir?' i said father christmas, johnny depp? no, a fucking owl!! gave her a detention.

I ended up watching the Carpenters stuff on BBC4 and perversely enjoyed it. I really must be old.

I watched a bit of it and Karen Carpenter had a fantastic voice, didn't she. There's something a bit odd about Richard though, don't you think?

No, he's just a bit strange. I've seen that documentary a couple of times now and each time I think he's odd. Or perhaps it's just that he's having to say the same things over and over again, year on year, and it makes him appear a bit mechanistic?
