I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

If I remember correctly Racy had 3 successive hits that all hit no. 1(?) in the mid-seventies and then disappeared. They were a sought of "Rubettes-meet-the-Glitter Band" but did not wear berets or silver suits!

Hot Love by T.Rex - UK
Me & Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin - US
Knock Three Times by Dawn - Australia

Shame about Australia, it was looking like a fairly respectable line up until that point.

I know I did this here once before, but I'll dive in again:

A song I ADORE in the UK - Return To Sender - Elvis Presley

I don't actively dislike much, but this I can't stand - US - Big Girls Don’t Cry - The Four Seasons

Fun in Australia (as expected) with something I loved in my folks' collection - The Lonely Bull - The Tijuana Brass

And my 18th birthday...John Lennon died and on the charts - Super Trouper - Abba, Lady - Kenny Rogers and Shaddup You Face - Joe Dolce Music Theatre. Argh.
