My friend Robert Hazard died on Tuesday. Robert was a singer/songwriter who helped kick start the early 1980s music explosion in Philadelphia. He's gone now and the quickness of his death from pancreatic cancer should remind all of us how fragile our lives are. The tour he just planned and the record he was about to release are meaningless now....all we have are memories. In the blink of an eye a friend can be reduced to 10 paragraphs in the morning paper or a hit on "Google". Appreciate your friends and always let them know you love them.

Bless you guys.
Tommy

Hold on to those memories, Tommy. Hold on tight.
Cyber hug coming your way, may the sadness pass but the joy of his life remain.

Hope you don't mind Tommy, but I think I've found some of Robert's stuff on utube so I'm going to post it here so we can all enjoy his exuberance ...

This is 'hang around with you' live ...

Sorry to hear that Tommy, its good that you feel strongly enough to share his memory with others.

Last couple of days i've been listening to elbows album 'the seldom seen kid'. Has a track on it that i just keep playing over called 'Friends Of Ours' a most gorgeous and simple tribute to Guys friend Bryan Glancy. If you haven't ever heard it, then may hit what you feel right now.

To be able to pay tribute to someone in this way must help a great deal.

I'm very sorry for your loss. You are so right about valuing your friends and family, you never know what tomorrow will bring. My sympathies are with you.

This is such sad news. I remember his music was some of the first I discovered when I joined college radio in the early 80s.

Thank you for sharing the personal moments.
