Richard Hawley

Jerry Wexler died at his home on Friday, 15 August - aged 91. He was a partner in Atlantic Records and a really influential record producer, working with artists including Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield. He was credited with coining the term Rhythm and Blues for the Billboard's music chart that had previously been called 'Race Music'.
