This is my best friend Charlie. I'd be lost without him, walk him every day come rain, hail or snow. I got him nearly 8 years ago just after my marriage ended, I'm convinced he rescued me from major depression. When I sit down he jumps up next to me and presses up against me. If I lie down on the sofa he lies on my feet and keeps them warm :D

A bit off topic, but I was thinking of buying my dog (a lurcher) some boots for winter. Last year when there was solid ice on the pavement the poor think kept stopping and lifting a paw with a wimper. He set off again after the paw had a rub and warmed up. I'm not sure if he will wear them, but I saw a greyhound with boots when the Greyhound trust were raising money.

We bought boots for our diabetic dog - problems with feet and all that stuff.

He ate them.

I remember our dog trying to walk with a bandage on his foot. Far worse than the actual sore foot ever was. Absolutely hillarious. We didn't let him see us laughing, of course :*:

I will have to make sure he doesn't eat them if I get him some shoes.

Here is my Jake wearing a fetching neckerchief.
