After a fascinating chat with Beaux Nidle last night, I thought i'd post this.

Anyone remember them from the mid-late '70's?

Does anybody remember the craze of "cooking" and shrinking crisp bags to make little badges? :*:

Why don't they sell them any more though - kids would love them! Much better than these so called "gourmet" crisps now with essence of madagascan chili or whatever..........

I used to love the Fangs, footballs and Snaps - I remember getting some snapdragon seeds or something with tokens - and gemstones from another brand I think! :D :D

This thread has brought back memories of Fruit Gums that you could pull out fillings with. Fruit Pastelles that you'd try and eat without chewing and sucking the insides out of sherbert lemons before eating them.

Happy days........

I think I can remember those

Were they a weird tasting beef flavour?

Me and my mates used to go and spend £1 each on crisps from the local offy. That's when they were 10p a bag max. We used to go for things called Krunchie Puffs which were 5p for a smallish bag - and carry them all away in a carrier bag (10 - 15 bags or crisps each!) then sit on the street corner eating them. Personal favourites were Onion Rings for about 10p - but it was a massive bag.

They certainly were a weird beef flavour & can recall a Salt N Vinegar flavour too.
