Looks like a good deal of the official music videos on youtube will be unavailable for a while! :shock:

Hope this isn't a case of powerful vested interests hiding behind modest earners? Does PRS get balance right? I don't know, but worth finding out. Anyway, I wonder if 2.0 is moving beyond this kind of control.

I hope it's just the 'official' videos and not everything.

What is an official video anyway?! Record label channel?

I noticed Nirvana 'Smells like Teenspirt' has something like 27,000,000 hits. But it was put on by Joe Blogs.

So 'official' ones get taken down, but the above stays?

I thought I'd take a look at the Pulp, Hardcore video after reading about it on here - but a nice pink banner appeared with "this video is not available in your country". :evil:

I haven't tested You Tube 'banned' videos and Zamzar out yet but certainly you can download (although not watch) You Tube videos from http://www.idesktop.tv.

Pity they won't even let you see the page of comments though as it is often interesting to read what others have to say about particular videos.
