New member, first post... be gentle.

despite regularly looking on the forum (basically just counting down the days until i see a post saying Richard is playing again) i've never posted.

Until now, simply because, being 19 theres not a lot, if any at all, of folk similar age wanting to, or already making music that is influenced by the likes of Richard Hawley, Nick Cave etc.

So basically this post is somewhat of an open advertisement, on the off chance that there are people my age who want to make music that takes influences from the likes of Hawley, Elbow, Bad Seeds etc etc

I can play guitar and bass, both to reasonably high standards.

If theres anyone out there, let me know!

Cheers guys and girls

Welcome to the forum Mattt.

As I'm twice your age, plus a bit  I don't qualify for your request for band members, plus I'm not near Sheffield.

Good luck Matt. Can't even remember being 19 so I'm no help on the funky band front. But let us know if you manage to get your groove on and a few of us oldies can come and hear you play (providing it's before 9 and there are comfy seats...)!! xxx

Hi Mattt, welcome to the madhouse. I, too, am too old, too far away & too bad a guitarist to be of any help :*: Seriously though, hope you get some good responses 8)

Welcome Mattt! Pick some friends that look cool, then lock them in your house for a few months with instruments like Captain Beefheart did! Seriously though, good luck.

Hi! I'm 19 too and love to find another old musical soul... But I'm afraid I have less than no musical talent. Nice to meet you anyway ;) Hope you stick around on here and let us know how it goes 8)
