Winding roads at high speed headed for The Mountain™, a guy I loved at the wheel, fueled by blackest coffee, cradled by endless trees in dappled light, windows and sunroof open, Soundgarden and Audioslave blasting at full volume, echoing back. One of my favorite memories of spending time in the PNW. It was just right. It wasn't my home, but it felt like it right then.
