I will watch a few games, not all of them. Some people at work have booked time off work for the World Cup, meaning I have to work on my birthday. :(

Maggie is that Guy Martin on your avatar? Are you watching the TT?

The world cup is just brilliant. I love the drama of it all, will Rooney get sent off? will he go mental and score 6 against the USA?
I have my wall chart up and beers in the fridge.

Let the carnival begin!

For what its worth i'd go with this

James
Johnson King Terry Cole
Lennon Gerrard Barry(if fit) Cole
Crouch Rooney

I fancy Joe Cole to make a mark on this world cup, noones going to be expecting him to be the danger man, all eyes on Rooney, but Joe can produce magic on his day

James isn't going to be fit for the USA game, and for all he has the benefit of experience, the best keeper in the squad is Hart. No Lampard?!? As mentioned somewhere else, this is my XI:

Hart

Johnson Carragher Terry Cole

Gerrard Lampard Milner Cole

Rooney Crouch

My 11 would be

Hart

Carragher King Terry Cole

Gerrard Lampard Milner Cole

Rooney Crouch

I don't rate Johnson at all and Lennon has silly eyebrows.

I'm not a big fan of Lampard - brilliant in a Chelsea strip but i've never been convinced for England. Barry and Gerrard works so well with each other I couldn't change it (if he;s fit) and I love seeing Joe Cole dancing on the ball.

What about Gerrard further forward with Rooney perhaps? Then Lampard can play

James
Johnson King Terry Cole
lennon Lampard Barry Cole
Gerrard
Rooney
