so England in the final afterall. Howard Webb has been given the job of refereeing the final. I think he's a decent ref, not shy on clamping down on serious foul play and wont hesitate from getting his cards out. Watch out Bommel.

i think he isn't the worst ref they have appointed loads better than that fuckin blind uruguayan c""t who did the england match, just got back from work and they said on the radio in an interview wi some fifa bloke that this is the last world cup with this way of refereeing the game, some talk about having electric balls on the touch line.........that should have Craig and Dave start putting in orders for them pretty quick

Aye Van Bommel has been seriously dirty - been rather impressed with the way he's avoided a sending off. Looking forward to the final. Hope both teams play the way they can. Anyone watching the 3rd place game? Abizarre thing from a different world - mebbes Klose will be fit enough to claim top scorer

true, Germany were value alright, kind of felt sorry for Uruguay at the end though when Forlan hit the bar with the last kick, it was only for 3rd place but you could tell it meant something to em.

one of those games when extra time would have been welcomed. Thoroughly entertaining game and plenty of commitment, both sides a credit to football and their countries.

Yes, I really enjoyed the game too - it was great to watch such an open and entertaining match. I've often wondered about why they bother with the 3rd/4th place playoff but both teams were totally committed right to the end. It was a shame one of them had to lose.

Hope the final's as good :D

it will have done loads of teams and countries good this world cup apart from france Italy and England,Argentina might feel ashamed but they shouldn't do.I just hope it will continue for South Africa in general,if a country deserved a break its them. They were on about nelson Mandella turning up to the final although it would be nice he is after all 92 and apparently its bloody freezing over there now
