Heart says anyone but Germany. Head says Germany.

If it wasn't for that prize wanker Robben i'd be all over Holland.

So i'm going for Uruguay, purely because i thought beforehand it'd be someone from South America.

Well we've had a few surprise results so far - you never know, Spain might beat Germany in the semi

I'd like to see Holland win though.

dont quite agree with that to be honest, in the past yeah but this team has all that old school efficency about it plus this time it has guys like Ozil, Mueller & Podolski I have actually enjoyed watching the play. I think they will win to be honest, the best all round team in it so far. Spain just havent convinced me to far they have bags of talent going forward but maybe weak at the back. Holland the same although I think all round they are the weaker again at the back. Uruguay play like they really really want it but without Suarez for the next game and possibly the skipper, who knows. I think Germany.

Ive got Uruguay in the sweep - I'd like Holland to win as Orange is such a neat colour - but I'm last in the fantasy football - so what do I know?

..> Well analysed, I think. Regarding playing ability this is probaly the best German team since the early 70's, when they became European champions. You could catch a glimpse of the "philosophy" of this team in 2006 already. It's shows some similiarities to the development between 1966 and 1972, which in my opinion was a phase of the German national team it really could shine.
Great team spirit and abundance of talent in the squad, too.
They probably have the biggest chance to win it, but I keep fingers crossed for Spain, who I could watch playing for hours, even if they don't score at all.

I voted for Holland as it was 1974 when I started watching football, hypnotised by the fantastic Johan Cruyff. I have not actually seen them play yet in the competition, as I don't have control of the T.V. remote.

dont get me wrong Spain could win the fucker, I mean they have got this far without really impressing anyway too much. Villa is playing out of his skin and I just get the feeling he is carrying them a bit, and Casillias too, talk of him being surplus to requirments at Madrid but the guy is awesome. Torres has brough his Liverpool bambi on ice form to the World Cup, plus any side with Puyol at the back are always vunerable as big as a heart the guy has he cant defend. So yeah they'll probably win it.

I'd like to see Holland win ,but my head says Germany because they have really impressed me with their tactics and skill level, which you can't say about many previous German teams.

In our family predictions I've put Holland (we waited til the grouip stage was over so no 9 year old or even 44 year old was going to get upset with nobody in the last stages). I have said Spain here just because I think they have to find their full form sometime and it wouldn't surprise me to see them lift the trophy. Want them to win tonight just because it will mean a new winner of the cup, think Germany are ace and have always taken great pleasure in their perverse ability to perform when it matters - they have been great to watch too. Was good to have a match again last night
