The older you get the more you like moaning.

Maybe I should rephrase that.

on the other hand the random nature of a refs decisions are sort of one of the only things left in football that keep it exciting,i know that sounds odd but football has changed so massively over the last 15 or so years, its become so corporate and managed and controlled more by the backroom money men than the actual team manager that if the ref thing was clear cut then maybe that would make the richer teams invincible know what i mean?

No I get that- and definitely in tennis, not so much cricket- you've lost a lot of the McEnroe style explosions which were always entertaining

But I guess on the other hand it could also be a leveller that puts results beyond the reach of grubby referees taking a little on the side or what have you- unless you can imagine Sir Alex scrounging around in the computer room desperately cutting wires hoping to do something

It would help the black and white decisions like offsides and is it/isn't it over the goal line (or at least in 99% of cases where there's absolutely no doubt). Video replays judged by a 4th official will still suffer at the hands of bent officiating though with the likes of Kompany's red card.

That's the problem with the colonies making up your own versions because you're not good enough at the real thing.

I thought both goals on Saturday were good but JJ's was outstanding. Saturday's match was disappointing. Mr Megson was obviously not happy with Weaver. Last night's game brought us back on track though. I wasn't there last night but it is fantastic if JJ is on good form - we just need him to continue like this because he can be the most amazing and exciting player but also the most frustrating.

Few more on sale this morning but only if you can pick them up in person. We must win. Always makes me nervous. I love it and hate it at the same time.

Yes indeed...the nerves are over and the famous victory in the bag. Nice to bump into Richard on the steps of the South Stand after the game for a quick chat...rounded off a glorious afternoon!! :D
