so you'll not be needing Paul Lambert back just yet. Congratulations Blind Ignatz Wrobel as I somehow always think of you - some long ago thread on blues names I think

Thanks, Harpo! :D
Paul Lambert's still active as a player, then? He must be over 40 now. :eh?
Fingers crossed that we can beat Bayern Munich (again) next saturday, win the German cup and thus make it the first double ever for Borussia.
Yours,
Blind Iggy Wrobel Of The Delta Paintbox (my eyes are getting worse indeed over all these years)

Paul Lambert is proving himself to be a very good manager having started well at Wycombe Wanderers, continued at Colchester and has then taken Norwich City through successive promotions and a first season in the Premier League where they have acquitted themselves admirably.

As long as Bayern beat Chelsea you can slaughter them at any other time and I'll be happy to see them do it.

The coat of Hoppo Marx

and as for the eyesight...it comes to us all, I'm deliberately not having my eyes checked for that very reason. Should make you a better harmonica player though

Glad to hear that Paul Lambert is doing well. A very reliable player and a terrific fighter in his years at Dortmund, and very likeable as well. His performance in the Champions League final 15 years ago, when he virtually took Zidane (then at Juventus) out of the game I will never forget.

Just to report today's result:

Dortmund 5
Munich 2

As to Bayern against Chelsea: I dislike both of them, but I'm afraid I will be filled with schadenfreude, if Bayern lose. Old habits etc. ...

Thanks, Dickie. This season as well as the former is a bit like a dream. No one predicted or expected that Borussia could win the title last year. It was a very young team (and it still is) just running away towards the trophy. Their kind of playing inspired everybody, even the hardest adversaries had to admit. Maybe this season was even more remarkable, not only because of the double and the fact Borussia gathered the most points of any German Bundesliga champion ever, but because Bayern had reinforced their game and were marked as the front-runner by most.

Champions League, however, proved to be a different kind of business. Simply no player had any experience on that level, they behaved a little naive. I think nobody thought they could really win the CL, but it was clearly a disappointment to see them go down at group stage.
Could be different the coming CL season. :D :Hoorah ..>
