Warnock should certainly have thought twice before opening his gob. Don't get why he's getting grief for making sure the Leeds players applauded their supporters though. That happens all the time in normal circumstances, and i don't think it's unfair to acknowledge the 99% of supporters who will have been perfectly well behaved.

From my observation from the South Stand as to the volume of missiles and seats that showered onto both the North Stand and the pitch, to suggest 99% were well behaved is significantly overstating the mark!

also I'd have to question the idea of 'normal' circumstances too, I just dont think it was sending the right signal in that situation, just didnt seem right. Did anyone happen to see any of the Corsica Derby this weekend ? Bastia vs Ajaccio ? Kicked off properly after one player from each side was sent off. I think it would have been called off had it not been so close to the end of the game, decent game otherwise

Take my boys to White Hart Lane often and lucky never to have been in an ugly situation.

On the racism thing, I think 30 players from eight Premier League clubs choosing not to wear the Kick It Out T-shirt is quite significant. The football establishment's reaction to the big recent racism controversies have been shit. Trying to explain it to kids is a great way of reasoning the whole thing out. Ex-England captain John Terry, someone you used to look up to boys, didn't call Ferdinand a Fucking black cunt, he called him a fucking blind cunt. Suarez and Evra having some altercation in Spanish that ended in I don't speak to niggers which now both have toned down to say I don't speak to blacks. Either way, pretty clear cut when you explain it to a 12 year old.

Don't think footballers behaviour should be any different from anyone elses. The fact is in any workplace, there are racists. As a union rep, I come across them all the time, closet and otherwise. My attitude is you might be a racist and if I can't persuade you not to be, the least you can do when you're at work is shut your fucking mouth, cos other people don't want to hear it and feel abused by it. And your employer doesn't pay you to do it and when you're at work, you're acting for your employer. Don't see why attitudes should be any different for footballers, in fact the bar should be higher. x

Cause for optimism i'd say, beating the worst team in the division. Sounds like it was quite comprehensive, be a good bet for you to finish as high as second bottom now.
