Connor Wickham's goal was probably the highlight of Sunderland's weekend. He looked canny on the highlights. Hope he keeps it up

Went to Derby feeling positive from last week's fantastic performance. From one extreme to the other. Made even worse by a few moronic Wednesday 'fans' who decided to sing through the one minute silence for remembrance. Wankers. I felt ashamed to be associated with them.

Well - things are looking up. We need a striker. Badly. Come back Connor Wickham please. But, generally speaking, watching Wednesday is quite a positive experience at the moment. 8)

Oh simonj, he of little faith. Who was it who scored the penalty? Granted that up until that point everyone was wondering why he was brought on and then screaming for him NOT to take the penalty.... Apparently it was good too. I didn't see it - I had my head in my hands.
Why did Connor go to Leeds??? Leeds of all places!
Anyway, we won. Let's be optimistic! Up the Owls!

On Tuesday night we won 1-0. I was there - at 89 minutes I thought this has 0-0 written all over it and left. Well, I had work in the morning and wanted to get home. I hadn't even left the stadium when I heard an almighty cheer. I had missed the sodding goal. Moral of the story - never leave a game before the final whistle........

It was a belter too,Best scored.....it was a carbon copy(minus the rain)of the Barnsley match.....I think the reason it was so boring was Brighton played 5 at the back and we only seemed to have Helan up front for most of the game,a turgid game to say the least but 3 points is 3 points innit

Anyway........ Getting back on topic to the mighty owls  ....... I was puzzled by the formation on Tuesday. Gray's post-match comments didn't seem to match what I saw. Best seemed totally on his own. I am pleased it was a belter - that I missed.......

So - OCCASIONALLY Donny beat us. Okay, I accept that. Hardly a goal fest though........
