What have they done....you couldn't find two bigger serial managerial losers than O'Neil & Keane....I give it 6 months.

R.O.I. are lucky to have O'Neill. The man's a genius. Look what he did at Celtic. Roy Keane will probably mess it all uo though.

Sorry probably should clarify - I was referring to Roy's appointment (although I do love him and don't doubt his abilities and passion for the game) - just made me smile given the history ;-)

Don't agree with any of that... Take MONs time at Celtic, promotion with Leicester, Norwich and his achievements with Wycombe all with zero resources to speak of. Keane taking over Sunderland when they occupied 23rd position in the championship and in that same season going on to win the title and promotion ? Granted it hasn't been all plain sailing for either since but failure is part of life, neither however are serial losers that is wide of the mark and some let alone the two biggest losers ?

Take Trapatonni... A management CV unrivalled in world football yet he made such a mess of that job. Never went to watch players, played dull football, no passion, no man management skills to speak of. At least with MON and Keane you know they will give it 110% we haven't got the players of years gone by but we certainly have players that can give more then we saw under Trap and they will be picked. Think the first squad already looks more skillful and is making the most of a shallow pool. I still love Marty despite it nit working iut at Sunderland - I will always believe things would have improved under him. Keane hafd e.veruythibg ib a plate at Sunderland and couldn't turn up to work. He did a good job in the short term then bottled it ad he did playing for Ireland. I think he needs to learn from his mistakes and his well known antipathy to second or third generation Irish will need to be put aside. Anthony Stokes has been playing well eniugh fir some time to to deserve a call up but Trap had a very cnservative approach. Will be interesting to see how he does especiall in view of recent comments abiut hisvtine at Sunderland nder Keane. Am optimistic
