The sale of Blackburn has seemed to go on for ever.It was put up for sale in 2005 by the trust fund set up by Jack Walker. We have had loads of potential bidders, but most have been put off by all the stipulations of any sale demanded by the trustees, mainly gaurantees of future investment.
It seems Venkys have met these stipulations and for us it should be interesting times ahead.
We will now change our mascot to a blue and white chicken. :*:
All chicken jokes appreciated.
As for you Egg,i insist you change your allegiances or we will buy the Millers for chicken feed.

Only joking. :*:

I've got mixed emotions on that. When Venkys took us over they said that playing good football is more important than getting points.Hmmmm we all thought Sam will be out before christmas.
Now we have a chance to get in a manager who will get us playing decent stuff again. On the other hand, will he be as good as Sam at keeping a small club with no money in the Prem.
Or they could splash out on superstars and we wouldn't give a fuck who managed us.

The future is grey.

Iv'e heard he's set on managing Doncaster.

I'd have him back as a player no probs.....as a manager no way.
We've gambled on rookie managers before,Hughes did well,Ince was a nightmare.
Martin Jol would do for me.......as long as it's not the serial quitters Martin O'Neil or Kevin Keegan.
The Mirror today said it's Maradonna.......lord save me

And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Was my son's favourite chant at the Lane: "He's got no hair, we don't care, Martin, Martin Jol!"

They don't really have one for Harry as too open to tax evasion piss takes. x

My bet for new manager is Alan Curbishley. Just you wait and see. I've been wrong every time I've opened my mouth about football on this forum so far, but I reckon I'm gonna be right about this.

It'll be an Italian manager maybe. Ah! Rafa Benitez. Well he's Spanish but you get the idea.
