Have just had a pleasant pub lunch with Cats, The Baroness & Dave in the rural wilds of Bradfield & the sun has emerged! Its quite warm now, I think they may be lucky tonight.

If that's the case then mph had better start getting ready and go and enjoy himself.

Gig was ace - a bit chilly but dry!

Richard started a bit late as unfortunately there was a glitch with the timetable and a previous act overran - shame it put the sound guys under pressure and I understand that four or five songs had to be cut........

Apparently there was a lot of background noise or interference on the stage, but we couldn't hear it - the performance was just great!

Started with Hotel Room, we also had Valentine, Roll River Roll, Born Under a Bad Sign, The Ocean, Coles Corner, Oh My Love - really can't remember the rest..............

Audience very appreciative!

We were priveleged to get backstage passes so managed to see Richard and the lads briefly after the gig - Richard if you need a female Charlie Hodge to mop your brow, let me know! :*:

A great time was had by all- lovely to meet Gary and Baz, Boltonlass and Jason!

:D

we were both pretty hungover from friday night and didn't really get our act together at all. we decided to go at the last minute, forgot my mobile, ripped my purple pants putting them on and didn't take the red and black hat as it would've got too soggy in the rain.

i thought the festival itself was pants. not what we expected at all. i thought that there would be a lot more going on and the other music that was on was hard work. we got there about five-ish, had a quick drink and then buggered off to the pub til about nine.smuggled a bottle of vodka in inside our brolly as the bar was a joke. what about something for the ladies to drink apart from crappy bottles of wine?

i thought it was ridiculous that richard didn't come on til about ten and i thought he seemed really pissed off/fired up when he came on stage. i thought he played a blinder. wife was in tears after a couple of numbers again. the emotion of the music just really gets to her. 'oh my love' was an absolute monster. loved the new version of it.

thanks richard for salvaging what was becoming a bit of a disastrous day. we also found out that the holiday that we had booked in october, we had booked the wrong week of and were still at work.

God I am tired. What a great night. It was lovely to meet people from the forum, not to mention the man himself.
The gig itself was great, and the rain held off when it mattered. I really liked the version of 'Just like the rain'.
mph - we thought we spotted you at one point with your strange attire, but it was just the guy on stilts.

cheeky sod! i had a pair of black pants with gold suns and dragons on. did richard say whether he'd enjoyed it? i got the impression he was a bit pissed off.

Just seen a comment on Richard's My Space from someone who was seen having a drink outside the gig and was refused entry.

not quite sure what went on with that booking - and the responses above seem a little mixed re the arrangements/sound, etc. Kinda surprising we can't put together a package to get Richard and the band to play at a decent size hall in Cornwall if that arrangement in Garforth worked commercially.
May be there was a sponsor or summat - any comments from the tour manager please ?
