Anybody on here go?!?! Enjoy? Get upto any mischief?

Amazing performance from 'the boss', unbelievable crowd... simply astounding!! Definitely the highlight of the festival for me, along wiv sigur ros, the national and the raconteurs.

Thankyou Richard, the line-up wasn't the best i've seen for a 4 day festival/the majority of people there were stuck up posh/southern kids who like techno and can't handle their booze/drugs... but the show you put on was worth the admission fee alone.

There's some pictures over in the links section - I'm tempted to move that post into this thread though as I think it fits better in the gigs section.

cheers wind kisser we had a boss time i only caught Moz,Siouxsie and the courteeners all good for me but i have to say we had a fucking great gig i have a dvd of it ot watched it yet but it'll probably be the only filmed gig i will save as it was so very extraordinary crowd really crazy,i thought at first it must be the same for all the artists but the fella at the NME and a lot of others including the folks at the mexican food van that said it was half empty all day and half empty after..........bonkers can't understand it...still,it took me all night to come down i am still buzzing now

Just wanted to add how amazing the gig was at benicassim! Blew me away! that was the first time iv ever seen you live and it def will not be the last now. We were def buzzing after it too, and i still stand by my opinion that Richard Hawleys set was soo much better than morrisey's!

Sorry for hassling you for an autograph at the airport too!

Ellen :)

Well here's an idea for charity, I can copy DVDs so how about allowing copies for forum members for a charity donation?

Maybe for Tessa's people?

Ellen, welcome to the forum! I too got into this through hearing The Ocean, seeing Richard live and just being blown away! A bit of me wishes the first moment of being hooked had come from an experience like Benicassim .. but it was less romantically Radio 6 best albums of 2006 ... and .... because I know Rita's on holiday ..... of course Hawley was much better than Mozzer!

.... i know I have to learn to run very fast by the time Rita's back online .... :pale:
