It's 2 years to the day since Mr H's triumphant gig at Sheffield City Hall. It's a gig that will stay with me forever, an emotional night, a set list to die for and the first proper meet up for many Hawley fans.

Happy days! :D :D

I can't believe that - two years! Seems like yesterday! That was one of the highlights of my life - only recently beaten by the Devils Arse! :D

Yep, that was truly a night to remember, sitting with Boy Hoy, watching Dave W and Michelvis rocking away at the front.

Support act wasn't too bad as I recall. 8)

2 years, eh - how time flies, i've been on downward spiral ever since. Mixed feelings about that time, despite how unquestionably brilliant the gig was, apologies if i seem to ignore people i know out on the street today but my mind is unfortunately on other things. :(

you know, i wasn't that pissed, i was pissed enough to comment on the "get a new joke" and i right fully got back the old "gimme six" but i wasn't that bad, i was quiet all gig, sure Denise will back that up - i was actually a bit scared of her!!!

It was a great night, i remember meeting Nick outside at the interval and meeting up with everyone pre and post gig at Fagans - good days.....

Merry xmas everyone, love to thi all.

Oh yes, I remember how quiet you were. Scared of me eh, that's how I like it, there's one or two programmers and analysts in my company who are scared of me too.

Ah yes, the gimme 6 joke. :*:

It was indeed a great night, probably the best concert I've ever been to, a really special night.

Any chance of putting that out as a cd like the Devils Arse? Go on! Raid the archives!!!

Scary isn't it? Two years? It was the run up to that gig that ended up with me finding my way on here - trying to find out if the rumours about the support act were true......

Can only agree with all of the comments so far - a real night to remember.

Was listening to the live tracks thet were the B side for one of the "'Streets our Ours" singles this morning as it happens. "I Sleep Alone" continues to be the high point for me. Fantastic. 8)

Sounds a night to remember. Of course I was still out there wandering in the wilderness in those days :? Hawley only having entered my consciousness this year. A bit like finding Narnia in the back of the wardrobe  :D

As usual, I'm pea green with envy at all the lovely in the same vicinity of the globe bonding...

I'd just been given Coles Corner as a Christmas present two years ago this week, and it blew my mind.... course I spent a fair time trying to figure out if the guy who'd given it to me meant anything in particular by the gift , but in my defense, I just thought the music was so beautiful and amazing, I couldn't think why else he'd have given it to me... turns out he just really liked RH and thought I would too (sometimes we girls are soooo silllly about those things  ).

I've just been tidying up, and have come across my freebee Silent Night cd from two years ago... all I remember was that it was Millie's school concert the same night and for some reason it was very short -( they normally go on for hours and hours) we rushed to get to the City Hall as quickly as possible only to meet up with Millie's headmistress in the bar - she told us her husband was Richard's cousin and she didn't want to miss the gig - strange coincidence??
Was a very fab evening - have seen Richard on a number of occasions since but it was my first time and I've been addicted since :rendeer:
