Had front row seats for tonight, thought it was tomorrow :(

Shit, I'm such a loser.

I'm sorry to hear that Steve, you must be gutted. I did that once for an Oasis gig at the Arena. They were playing 2 nights and my friends and I turned up on the second night with tickets for the first night (it was my fault, I was looking after the tickets). Amazingly the door staff didn't check the date and let us walk straight in....I didn't realise until during the gig that we had tickets for the previous night :D

So sorry to hear that you mixed your days up. That's awful. I feel mean for raving about it now..

Julie dont worry, if I had not logged on last night and seen your post I would on my way to the town hall tonight, camera in hand looking a complete twat! I dont aeven care about the wasted money, I've never had front row seats before for any gig let alone a Hawley one, I was dead chuffed I'd got em earlier this year.

I'm glad RH did the decent thing and offered them to someone else really, got up this morning and managed to have a laugh at my own stupidity :D.

Cheers Dave

Whilst this was a case of me being a complete 'tard, I'm used to having bad luck so I can take it.

You could chuck me in a barrel of tits and I'd still come out sucking my thumb.........thats the kind of luck I have :D

I'm pleased you're not tooo down and laughing about it now Steve. The tour's not over yet mate... You could still nip over to Nottingham on Sunday or is it Saturday? Only joking - it's definitely Sunday and I'll be there! :*: You won't get front row but it'd still be worth the trip!

Not sure if this is up yet, but I happened upon it and it's a lovely review:

I've shown up a day early and a day late for shows, but nothing on that scale. Oh my.

My sister turned up for a show - took her seat - watched / listened to the first few numbers - and then fell asleep...

Well it was Dire Straits circa 1986 - and she was about 34 weeks gone :)

And haven't we all been to / played a gig and not remembered anything about it

Aaaah just remembered, the wife said that the only thing missing from the gig was one of them mirror balls with the reflected light spilling into the room. She said it would have topped off a great night with a bit of good old dance hall magic.

We had a mirror ball at Shepherds Bush.

Probably a good reason for it not being there - maybe they didn't have time to put it in place, or maybe it belongs to the theatres and Birmingham don't have one?

Thanks Richard, there is no need for you to feel rotten though. It was my own fault..... Actually I blame the Mrs! after 10 years she should know not to trust me with any kind of responsibility :D
