I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

It's just nice to see some of these far flung and not so far flung places come up on a tour list.

I'd love to get a VW Campervan and follow the tour about a bit - but the reality is work / bills / debts etc etc.

So I'll content myself with the odd trip to Sheffield to see Richard or when the Spring / Summer turns up visit The Grapes...

Hi everyone.

I'm new in this forum, this is my first reply, although I'm a huge fan since "Coming Home".
I 'll be in Murcia next Friday, I can't wait. It will be my second Richard gig.
The show is in a small and beautiful venue (400 seats), with an amazing sound. Very intimate, they usually program classical music concerts there, but pop and rock concerts too. In fact, I saw Jeff Tweedy solo there. Yo La Tengo will play soon too.
I think it's a perfect place for Richard and the band.

Festival Hall setlist would be an amazing choice (although Just like the rain, Born under a bad sign, Roll River roll, Coming Home or Something is... could be amazing too...). Well, Richard has so many wonderful songs, I suppose everyone have a favourite setlist. Anyway, I can't wait to listen Hotel Room, Open up your door and Remorse Code...

Richard, Spanish people love your music, your gig is going to be amazing. Good luck and see you in Murcia!
Saludos, nos vemos el viernes,
Pedro

Welcome, Pedro, bienvenido!!
Enjoy a lot in Murcia and please, tell us all about it... I'm going to see him in Barcelona 4 days after... Looking forward to it!! Though the venue isn't as beautiful as the one you describe in Murcia... Disfruta mucho!!!

To Poppy dog: so nice of you to try with Spanish but I'm afraid that the web translator is crap, sorry to tell you!!

Hola Cristina,

Thank you for the welcome, poppy. Good attempt with the spanish. I'm sure we`ll enjoy a lot. I'll post the setlist and my impressions here.

Hasta pronto

Only some hours!
I can't wait! Excited!
I read the setlist of Paris last night, amazing. I suppose it will be very similar
(But if you play Just like the rain, I would be very very pleased!)

It is going to be a great night!

When I was 17, I had to go from Valencia to London by coach. I’d fallen down a hole while drunk on holiday and got taken to hospital, therefore missing my flight home. Had a hole in the bottom of my leg caused by an unknown metal object that was down the hole so had to have a tetanus and keep my leg in a horizontal position for 48 hours.

The only place on the coach that I could sit with my leg resting up was the seat by the toilet. So, I travelled all the way to London, with my bum really hurting from the tetanus, my leg really hurting from falling down a hole, my head really hurting because I’d drunk loads of that Anise (which is why I got in this mess in the first place) and trying really hard to hold my breath because everyone one the bus had the shits. I had to sit there, watching them rush in, hearing them do their business and suffer the smell when the opened the door. And a mosquito bit me on the inside of my lip.

Sometimes life can be cruel.

Good luck and don't be tempted by booze that smells like licorice allsorts.
