Richard will also play Mark Lamarr’s Radio 2 show live on 12th January.

That information is on the Hawley bweb site, the only Mark Lamarr show on today is at 22.30 - The Inventor of Rock and Roll, The Alan Freed Story so presumably it's a session on that show.

Caught the beginning of that, but didn't seem to be Mark Lamarr :eh?
Is there a crossed wire somewhere, or is it just me

Not sure, my comment at the start was based on the fact that the web site said it was that day's Mark Lamarr show, rather than that Richard was just recording a show for later transmission.

Hmm, Radio Times has Bob Harris from 23.00 to 02.00 and then Richard Allinson. Presumably they changed this after going to press.

Bob Harris always does late Saturdays.

0.00 to 3.00 on the 23rd would be the Saturday morning, i.e. Mark's late 'Friday night' show...

Ah ha, and that will be in this week's RT, not next weeks.

You do have your uses Craig. 8)

Tracklisting of show and listen again here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00pzh7d

I have a recording of the show but have PC problems so once they are sorted I will isolate the songs and megaupload.

Have started to listen - fascinating interviews so far (especially on Elvis) - songs sound excellent - there's a lovely echoey sound to the whole session and its perfectly gorgeous! :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think I'll have Run for Me for my mobile ringtone next............. :D

Great, enjoyed that. I agree, the slight echo effect made Richard and the Lads performances more atmosheric. And so good to hear Shez and Richard's pick of Elvis' version of Tomorrow Is A long Time. Excellent choice.

Just listening on the i player. Reminded me, not that I needed reminding, that Run For Me probably is my favourite Hawley track ..>
