Radio 2 8pm-10pm. April 15th. Thursday.
Paul weller interview and concert.
Richard to guest according to Radio 6 news.
Maybe a prelude to writing together as mentioned by PW in the Lamaq show yesterday.
Can't wait.

Looking foward to it. Is he playing with Andy Lewis? Have got really into his stuff lately... great couple of albums. Sent me off on a bit of a Northern Soul groove...

Also being filmed, according to Beeb 2, to be shown on iPlayer after the radio broadcast.

The new PW songs sound fantastic, really benefiting from working with other artists.
Bought Going Underground when I was 10 and the guy's still doing it 30 years later. Get in.
Really looking forward to your collaboration.
A nice bottle of red and radio 2 for the night. 8)

Richards guests at about the 20 minute mark on "No Tears to Cry" and a fantastic version of "Andromeda"

I have n't listenend to Paul weller for years, he's been way off my musical radar. Listening now on iplayer and it sounds brilliant. Not keen on early Jam stuff, but love broken stones, Wildwood, new track, pieces of a dream but then i am a bit of a soul girl! Like Paul weller when he sings not shouts, great concert though! :D :D

Brilliant, I love watching Richard 'being a guitarist'. :thumleft:

Hawley knocks the others into a cocked hat. Andromeda was fabulous.

not sure about that but i did enjoy it very much Paul and all his band and people working with him are so sound and bloody ace musicians, not an ego in sight.it was a boss experience working with the great man a decent review in the paper apparently today not sure which one i got a text off a mate who was still pissed from last night so he forgot to tell me which paper, although i'm not that arsed to be honest what they say as i KNOW it was a great gig.

Agree Andromeda was a major highlight. Teriffic guitar break from Richard and the other guys.

Ive never been a major fan of Paul weller but have long admired his ability to weave attractive hooks and melodies into his music while still keeping that 'edgy' feel. Great qualities he has in common with Richard.

As an original Jam fan I was hoping that Bruce Foxton would be appearing in this gig, as apparently they've settled their differences & he's playing on weller's new album
