Hello there,

just got back from a wedding in France and saw Richard's name on a few posters. If any forummers have a few spare shekels and fancy a weekend away I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend.
Les Nuit de Fourvieres is based in a fantastic Roman amphitheatre in the centre of Lyon. We had a wander round and thought it could be a magic night. I've been to Pompeii but haven't seen a setting quite like this before.
Lyon is a lovely city, the only caveats being that it is bloody expensive given that the £ is struggling and that it's a tough life being a vegetarian there. Other than that the food and wine is magic and the countryside is like a greener Tuscany. We'll not be eating until next payday but we had a fantastic time.

oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.............i saw R.E.M. there two in 2008 for Accelerate Tour....what a fantastic, timeless and beautiful plaaaaaceee!!!!! so much beautiful Roman Amphitheatre....magic venue.... :D :D :D :D

only the death can keep me away from this show!!!

Thank you for that 'Warmporch' - sounds like an amazing venue - I just booked tickets for my man's birthday pressie (well, mine really!!!) - going to Lyon for me hols! :D

Countdown to Lyon! Tired and emotionally drained from work, and can't wait to soak up the atmosphere in the Roman Amphitheatre and being taken to 'that higher place' by Mr H's music! Soooooooooooo looking forward to it! :D
