Hi Folks i don't normally get involved in all this announcing stuff but i am genuinely excited about this so thought i would do it personally.Basically we've taken over a farm in Derbyshire for the day on June the 5th the event is called"The Teddy Boy's picnic" (that was Tina the new girl on the teams idea.........and like the event the name is a bit of fun..ho hum).there are all the confirmed acts on the poster below,Norma Waterson and Martin Carthy,Neil McSweeney,(Pete Molinari is confirmed today),as well as the lost brothers.....there will be more i hope but this is pretty good in my eyes.
As you know i like to play odd places and try and make an effort for folk interested in what i like and what i do.Well we have made a big effort this time there is camping available lots of music and hopefully a great day for one and all,with food and drink aplenty.You can of course bring your packin up/snap tin(thats"picnic"to the rest of you none Northerners)and you will be very very welcome I aim to make it a very open none pop star vibe with the focus on music and creating an atmosphere where that is possible.

May depend on how far this farm is from local transport - and whether I can rent local accommodation or a tent - not sure a tent is quite my style though............

sounds awesome, a really top idea. Sadly for me anyway its a couple of days after I get back from holiday or else I'd have been there like a shot.

That sounds absolutely wonderful, but I simply can't do it. I feel guilty enough leaving the kids overnight to go to Jazz Cafe and can't do this one 2 days before that (especially with my daughter right in the middle of GCSE's). I hope you all have a fantastic time!!!

Can't wait Boss - it sounds fabulous! I just confused the girl in the Arena Ticket shop by insisting she must have tickets until the baroness pointed out to me on facebook that today is Tuesday not Wednesday as I thought! I just got a bit over excited!
