She's a bit of an old bus – 9ft wide, no power steering and doesn't do more than 55mph. But will trust you Craig and, if it's on next year, will give her an outing (although we might have to set off a couple of days before cos she's a slow old bird). x

Hi all,

I just wanted to add my thanks alongside all that has been written.

The day was fab (and i'm not a festival fan) - the space afforded and pitch were spot on; the weather an added bonus. It was my first opportunity to see a live performance and while in my heart i always knew it would be good, i was just not prepared for quite how good ... and in a barn! It couldn't have been sweeter.

Heartfelt thanks to all involved in making that possible.

Hello Cassie and welcome. Now you seen Mr H. live once there'll be no stopping. Nice Volvo Amazon - I had a 130 a few years ago; best car I've ever had. :D

Thanks for the welcome, Arne, and yup you're right, if money was no object i'd be off to Lyon in a flash.

I love the Amazons, too - an incredibly reliable car, great fun to drive and 40+ years old. I still cling on to the dream of restoring her/him/it to a more worthy state, but again money, money money. I have resigned myself to a piecemeal approach, if i live to be 206 i may just about get there!

oh i think it is i have the concentration span of a flea and i ALWAYS drift off in my mind when i am being driven,i kind of like it but i shit myslef thinking about being in control of a potential weapon,especially if i had the kids in the car

Always wanted one but always jibbed out and took the 'sensible' route in the end - came close to buying a Volvo 1800 years and years ago - ended up with a VW Jetta GTI...

If I had the money I would buy a Classic tomorrow. Modern is reliable & rust free and all that, but just not the same (sob) Love that website by the way :thumleft:

Getting kind of back on topic - I wonder if the driver of the Mk2 Cortina I saw at the Picnic is a member on here... 8)
