As tomorrow will only be my 2nd Mr H gig,  I was
wondering if any of you know when a particular song is about to
be played.

The reason I ask, is that I'm also a big U2 fan, and on every tour
since Joshua Tree, you know when they are about to play 'Where
the streets have no name'.

You can by the fact that some or all of the set or backdrop goes
red. (Check it out on youtube........haven't tried to upload yet  )

From Josh, to Pop, Zoo, Vertigo and up to and including 360.

Does Mr H do or have anything giving any clues?

What about other bands?

Ian Hunter generally starts off with Once Bitten Twice Shy as i] it was a hit ii] its fast and loud and iii] its apparently a good tune for the sound man to set his levels at [what ever that means] for the venue with people in - as opposed to empty [ish] for the sound check - he told me this [and a few thousand others] via his horses mouth column on www.ianhunter.com.

See thee tomorrow :D

I can't say I know with Richard's gigs ..... you just have to be familiar with the opening chords of each song. Then again, some of the more knowledgeable forum members (and ex forum members like The Baroness) probably know by the guitar that Graham brings on for Richard to play!!

I've seen the Manics 11 times and generally know what's coming up based on the guitar. Don't think I've seen anyone else nearly enough to be able to tell that sort of thing though.
