Mate at the gig tells me Richard joined Duane for Lee Hazlewood and Santo and Johnny covers.

Great night :D Duane Eddy was such a gent and to hear all those sounds from the man himself was the nuts. Top solos from all the band and looking like they were really enjoying it,nice couple of numbers from RH and excellent support from Pete Molinari.

Thanks to Graham,it must have taken some putting together.

Don't miss the chance to go and see,it's so worth it.

Great show last night with Duane at the top of his game and over the bad case of 'man flu'.
Typical of the man he sat for an eternity signing memorobelia and chatting with a never ending stream of people.
Richard you should be in the next Honours List for getting him over here !

Looking forward [what a bloody understatement] to hearing the proposed album you are doing together. :!:

I was at The Grand Opera House last and I thought the saxophinist, Ron Dzlubla was brilliant. It was a great show and now looking forward to Bridlington next week.

I loved it when he did 'Stalkin' and 'First Love First Tears' - two of my all time favourites.

'Girl on death row' - nice one Richard.

Fantastic show last night 8)

After noting that me and the OH were in the younger end of the audience (very rare event nowadays) we were firstly very well entertained by a superb set from Pete Molinari.

Then the main attraction. It felt so familiar with Shez, John, Colin and Dean up there on the stage, yet as fully expected, it was an entirely different show from the RH gigs I've become accustomed to. Their enthusiasm and skill shone through as they gave it their all to accompany the legend that is Duane Eddy. Guest appearances by the two girls (I forget their names, sorry), Pete M and then RH just made it one of those nights I will never forget, and Mr Sax (Ron Dzlubla) just blew me away (so to speak)!

Special mention for Gordon who wasn't far off being the star of the show

'beaux nidle' sums it up: "i couldn't believe it ....... THAT'S duane f***in eddy !!" (edit - AND Richard f***in Hawley) 8)

Good review and interview in this weeks Hot Press (Irish publication). I think you may have to subscribe to read it online though.

Great to hear Duane chatting to Johnny Walker on sounds of the seventies just now on Radio 2. Very complimentary about Richard.
