Well now boys, I have found out what it means and whilst I'm sure you'd like to fuck a lot of things, with such a generally unpleasant outlook, I'm sure you don't get too many offers. x

Just a short note to add my heartfelt thanks for such a special, cosy and unique gig on Monday night. It was a real treat and also lovely to meet some of the forum regulars in the queue outside.
And thank you Lofty and Denise for getting me back up and running on the forum between you.
Here's to the next one!

A couple of observations from the gig: Neat looking Danelectro Guitar Richard was playing - don't think I've seen that before. Is it a new aquisition? And got my wish to see him play lap steel - and from only three feet away 8)

Hi Lofty, the Dano is ancient i've had it about 8 years but it was old when i got it,its a Baritone i love its sound i have a few now but only one full octave one,its a Gretsch but its a bit faulty at the mo.I love playing lap steel i've been playing since i was a kid but its tricky live for me to play it nd sing at the same time,Shez plays his live,i bought him an old Selmer for his wedding gift and his mrs a Hawaiian skirt to wear whilst he played it......it made us laugh anyway  ..........but since then he has gotten a lot better than me so i usually let him do the lap steel playing,he played it on soldier on very very well indeed on the recorded version........every now and then i play it but not very often now......i must amend that situation as i enjoy playing it so much.Oh and the one i played at the gig is a 1963/4 supro 8 string an awesome instrument

Many thanks for that Richard. Yes, love the sound of a baritone guitar - right from the days I heard one on record but didn't know what it was I was listening to, if you see what I mean. And the lap steel is an amazing sounding instrument, it seems to 'live' somehow. No Way Home is one particular favourite. :thumright:

You are accused, like the rest of us naughty boys,of despicable attempts at un-pc adult humour on a nice family forum.

So glad you all had a marvelous time at what sounds like a truly unique gig. Still gutted that I couldn't go. Corrie was no consolation. I hope whoever got my ticket had one for me.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.
