Just makes me realise how much I miss seeing / hearing a live Hawley gig.

Tough call following Gregory Porter singing Carole Kngs 'signature tune' a bit like Liverpool coming out after hallf time in the European Cup Final 05...

Enjoyed seeing Richard on BBC4 tonight. And, aside from Carole King herself, the others were all new to me. 8)

Haven't watched it yet because I was watching Harry Potter with the kids and I had taped the Spurs/Chelsea game so I had to get my priorities right. Was a top, top night though and bought yer man Gregory Porter's album after. It's called Water and it's just fantastic. x

Hopefully I have it recorded, there's a further repeat on BBC HD channel on (I think) 26th December.

Shame songs were cut, would have liked more original RH and less Xmas stuff, although loved the lap steel...good to see the Puppini Sisters on TV, the vocal group I sing with performs two of their orginal songs we've arranged for 4 -part, they've been very generous in letting us adapt/perform them.

It's times like these you need to remember your Yank friends. No Christmas pudding, no Boxing Day, no video (I haven't mastered the work-arounds).

What's possibly more terrible is my odd obsession with British cookbooks. I might own several hundred recipes for Christmas pudding!

You're bound to have something by Saint Delia Smith, then. So no excuses  I rely on the individual microwaveable ones! Instant Christmas pudding - perfect!
