Richard & band (and Dexys a couple of hours before him in the same tent), were just sublime. It was a great hour - brilliant musicianship and songs before a crowd who really appreciated and respected what they were seeing. And regularly reciprocated by Mr H thanking the people in attendance. Even the odd sound issue didn't take away from it all.

Highlight for me was Don't Stare At The Sun. I first heard it on my earphones on a train to Trieste on the north-east coast of Italy in July coming back from seeing Pulp and Madness at a festival. We were travelling among mountains above the sea and the weather was really nice. The song seemed to be the perfect soundtrack. But it was only seeing it performed on Saturday that I really appreciated how great a song it is. The power of great live music.

Love that. Even half-hearing the playback on the little computer - the guitars!
