If this gig is part of the Mouth of tyne Festival then you also get YNIWL as support.

You'd be surprised.
And Mouth of the Tyne?

Gob on the Tyne has a much better ring to it, although it does conjure up visions of someone doing something unseemly over the Tyne Bridge

That were reet good last night, everyone on top form. ..>

Think there might of been some sound issues on stage but it sounded ok were i was.

Got to say i don't like the venue mind, just seems... urgh, i dunno how to describe it.

Lots of arseholes talking but its that kind of venue, half standing half sitting..

Stand outs for me were...Skys Edge, Remorse Code, Dont Stare, The Ocean & the song i most like to see Richard molest his guitar to..Hotel Room

PS.. theres nay badges or hendo's left...true story...poor Palf :(

Gary is right. The sound was great where we were up in the seats and the band really tight. Just brilliant to hear Richard on such top form though he seemed as annoyed by the venue as Gary and myself. The talking is unbelievable there, and it's nothing new. I saw Elbow there a couple of times (with Richard guest spotting once) and nearly hit this bloke who wouldn't shut up. Why pay money to stand and talk all through a gig, I just don't understand. And then the tills crashing at the bars through some of the quiet moments of songs.
So a plea Richard to stick to the Sage or City Hall and definitely back at Whitley Bay. Despite all my moaning the gig was fantastic, we loved it and I've been humming away all day :D especially Don't Stare, Ocean and Open Up, a very happy fan

Sad to say it was my least enjoyed gig I've played in years I'm afraid, the ignorant talkers spoiled it for me,why go to a gig and talk at the top of your voice i just dont get it at all?however the rest of the lovely folks made it worthwhile thanks to you

It's freshers week in Newcastle and i did notice a lot of young student types in the crowd bumping there gums, but maybe i shouldn't generalise about people too much..hey ho!

As RedAl mentioned The Sage or City Hall are much better venues, where the stage isn't next to the bars.

Had a good night though all in all.

Ta for the offer Helen, Palf is the merchandise seller and i was thinking he seemed gutted they'd sold out of Hendo's & the new style badge.

He might of had some Fed Ex'ed up to Glasgow for tonight..

I have yet to taste Hendersons Relish...i'll live.. for now :)

I didn't go, I can see how the music would fit well in the 02 but I don't like it, I don't like that bit of the Toon (apart from it being quite handy for the Forth which is a good pub) :|

I still think you should do the Tyne Theatre Richard, it's fab, or go back to the Sage
