Ooooh. I love Portmeirion and the Llyn Peninsula. Tempting, tempting, despite the liberal use of the words almighty psychedelic rock all over the press release.

That would be fantastic. Can't go but what a lovely place for a festival.

We visited in February, it was a lovely sunny day. Don't think I can go to the festival. :(

Is there anyone going to the festival number 6?

I've bought my tickets already - no idea on how to go there (esp. from south of France...) but the line-up is so tempting - and there I'll have my chance to see Richard Hawley for a 2nd time this year :D

Does anyone know if the schedule has been issued for this yet (nothing on website)? In particular what day/time Richard will be on. Hoping to get there for the lot but may need to do a late arrival and early departure but don't want to miss the star turn 8)

Thanks for that. I think they've issued the schedule today ( got it via Facebook). Can't see Y Niwl, are they there in their own right or only as Gruff Rhys' backing band?

Will definitely get there for the Friday kick off.

Might have to miss out on New Order if the Sunday finishes late as kids have to be at school in morning.

They're selling limited day tickets from tomorrow:

Quote:
Having received a number of requests for day tickets in recent weeks, we have decided to offer a very limited amount for those that cannot make all 3 days of the festival.

Day ticket holders can enjoy Friday’s full line-up for £50 (adult) and £30 (young people aged 11-15 yrs). For Saturday and Sunday adult day tickets are £60 and £40 (11-15 yrs) each day. Children under 10 accompanied by adults can go free.

Day tickets will be available from 9am tomorrow morning (Tuesday 4th September). Again we would like to reiterate that these are very limited, so we recommend those that wish to purchase to reserve their ticket as soon as they are available.

I read on the festival site that on Friday, Richard Hawley will be in conversation with 6 music. Does anyone know if that's accessible to everyone and if that's the case, what time does this take place?

Really looking forward to the gig on Friday!! So happy to be able to go to my 2nd Richard's gig this year, loving the new album so much, it couldn't be any better :D

If it is on then you should be able to listen to it as several non-UK members have been listening to last night's BBC6 broadcast with the Philharmonic.

Background to the No.6 festival is covered as a feature of BBC News channel reports today - and includes a mini interview with Richard. Unfortunately though, not available via Iplayer.
