Is this discussion theoretical or are you proposing practical workshops? If so, I want Craig on my team cos he's half man, half monkey and a strategist, like Expano, who could work out angles and trajectories. And Poppy Dog could fill the role of Grasshopper, or the slightly disabled coach, who was a champ in his day, but now cannot compete because of his dodgy, gout-ridden knee, motoring alongside the true fighters on his electric buggy.

If you Google Can You Commit Suicide by using Karate it comes up with, rather alarmingly, a lot of news stories about karate instructors who have committed suicide because they have been charged/found guilty of child sex offences, which has given me some insight should my children ever want to take classes.

Or it comes up with Can You Commit Suicide by using Karaoke, which either produces lots of lyrics about trying to kill yourself or songs that, if you heard anybody sing them during karaoke in a bar, especially after a bottle or so of gin, would make you want to kill yourself. Like a Virgin would be my death karaoke choice or perhaps Lady in Red. Over to yous? x

Feeling scared? I bet you are. I'm going to nick Poppy Dog too. Any man with gout who can knock the skin off a rice pudding will do for me.

Would have to be a big power ballad for my death karaoke. Something that would make me want to kill myself. Brian Adams, Bon Jovi.......oh yes. Although Lady in Red would be a close second.

I have a well known love for sad songs- and this old lady said maybe I'd like this song- I want to say it was Lady In Red- might not have been- anyway, i sorta described in the nicest possible way the difference between sad songs and sappy rubbish haha... on the plus side, she is now into Richard Hawley, Beck, Wilco and loads of other cool stuff

My death karaoke song would be something by Justin Bieber- whom I would show my distaste for by slitting my throat as the teenage girls screamed for my autograph

Just back from Whitley Bay Playhouse. Just had to say that I loved the gig. So many highlights, Soldier On, a truly beautiful version of Remorse Code and loads of treats from the new album.
Thanks Richard for bothering to soldier on. You looked in pain towards the end and i must admit that I felt rather guilty for shouting the encore word.That said, we weren't disappointed to get that amazing performance of For your lover and finally the Ocean.

Oh, I'm having such a laugh with this thread!!! I'm too confused too about the karate/karaoke suicidal issue, but as long as Richard comes back from time to time to update us on his leg recovery, I think it'll all be fine!
On my part, and about the karaoke song... If I ever dared to sing in a karaoke and committed the crime of chosing the following, please I just ask someone to kill me straight away and without mercy: You're Beautiful by aaghh, do I have to say his name, odious James Blunt... And please, don't tell me that you all love the bloody song and for that I'll be banned from the forum from now on ;o)

Back home late from lattitude I had a good time despite pain in the rain,Guy Garvey kindly wheeled me on I think we resembled characters from little Britain,the folks working the festival were fantastic and the crowd were amazing so a big thank you from all of us.......three days to go till the pot comes off :Hoorah cannot wait, two more radio shows loads of physio then...........holidays <*>

:CAT :Oink: I'd never get into the cat suit - and naaaah I'm soft as shite really. Unless you're Royal (specifically after Lizzie 1, I liked them til then), Tory or Kylie Fucking Minogue. In that case don't make me angry or feed me chicken after midnight, otherwise I'd just talk adversaries into a frenzy then I'd hide behind you and Poppy Dog and Craig :mrgreen:
