Richards gig in vicar street got gig of the week in the Irish Times supplement `The Ticket`. This is what Siobhan Long had to say about the gig. ` He was, by his own admission " vibing his tits off" from the get go. Richard Hawley turned the amp up way past 11 and let rip on outtakes from his latest guitar-heavy album, Standing At The Sky's Edge -and so much more. Not a note was wasted. By turns visceral, stimulating and deadpan funny, Hawley was on top form yet again`. |

Haha, I'm just back from there, managed to bag me some of their Lasagne and salad before closing time. Nice selection and good value in that deli. Won't be doing the weekly shop there however. |

anyway ... Alan... that was fucking delicious, 7.95 for a massive chunck of orgasmic homemade lasagne with heaps of two seperate salads you cant go wrong. And for no other reason than to appear to be somewhat on topic here are two pics from the Cork gig...

Another good spot for food 5 mins away is the Irish Film Institute , you dont need to be a member and its a nice informal setting and a really good menu. |

well it struck me Eoin when i had that had Beef stew and mash that cost £7 which and was astonishingly good and it was a MASSIVE portion that i really couldn't finish to my shame......now if i had gone to Monger king or Fatdonalds,which i don't and have only ate that shite on tour when i am desperate.........actually thats a lie........when we go on holiday the kids like a burger once a year.........it would have cost me almost the same......just a thought.....does that make sense?

I have eaten there many times. Food great and not expensive either. I stayed in the hotel next door on the night of The Vicar street gig so its quite handy. |
