I live some 5 mins away from where the festival is being held. Thought brilliant ...can take my partner Suzanne for a treat and instead of me crooning badly to R.H. albums she can see him play !
Got in touch with organisers to see about local tickets for the day. Thought it certainly wont cost us £200 to get in. Had kind reply which had me in stitches. Was told that there are local tickets and they cost £100 a piece ? That he had worked it out and if I saved a tenner a week between now and september I could afford 2 tickets.
Well am fooked off but do see the funny side...and it was great the organisers thought we were teenagers who they could give pocket money advice :*: (am 49 yrs)
Fact is. I am on a 3 day week and one of the lucky ones round here. In some places unemployment is 75% locally. The sums just wont add up and for most locals it seems they will not be going to what will probably be the best show in these parts for a long while.
Does Richard know just how exclusive North Wales is these days ? He best take his suit to cleaners and wear his best aftershave else he wont get in to play.
We cant stop laughing now so was good to tell our tale on your forum.
R.H. s music is the soundtrack to our lives. Keep the faith !
Mark.

Hi Richard and thanks for the kind reply to our post !

It would be a special day if we could come to see you in Portmeirion. Considered getting the local tide tables and if the tide was out sneaking in from the beach ! :*: However have been told we are getting a bit old for that kind of caper now.
If you can help it would be great. We dont really do "cap in hand" and will of course pay for a days entertainment ?
Suzanne (my better half) is a Sheffield girl and we both cant believe you are playing round the corner. Would be fookin made up to see the show after our initial disappointment !
More tea vicar !
Take care. Mark

I'm surprised they didn't sell you a ticket with a Finance deal attached to it... Pay Nothing for 10 weeks then 2148% APR there-after.

Hope you get something sorted.

If they ever release more camper van tickets, I'm coming. Will pick you up and smuggle you both in! And there even may be a Pot Noodle thrown! Good luck. xxx

I hope they will release day tickets for people around there. Good luck to get yours!

Is there anyone going from Chester? That seems to be the easier for me to go (Toulouse > London > Chester > Portmeirion), but that'd probably take a whole day to reach the place.

Is there anyone booking a tent? I was checking all the accommodations, and the only thing I can afford is a tent, starting £120, which is already an amount! But not sure my old tent at home is still in good condition + easyjet will charge me to get it in so I'd probably book that.

Anyway, if anyone feels like sharing a ride, a tent or a drink at the festival, send me a message as I seem to go on my own for the moment

I have a group of friends through SFA who are going. I think they have a local friend they're staying with, but it would be nice to find a group to hang out with. Send me a message with your email and I'll try to put you in touch. Sounds amazing, I wish so much I could go to that. Or pretty much anything :)

Thank EMI, their guy is pretty good at passing the information on.
