Looking at google map no pubs are close by when you search the area using 'pubs' - however when viewing the map content this one was visible and is on the Sheffield Road going back to the M1 just over half a mile from the Magna roundabout.

I'll be driving anyway so maybe go for a mini pint post broadcast - or just hang in the car park and bring your own cans / bottles - like I do each year for Glyndebourne

Cozzy it is then lofty - or might just break out the tankini if this weather holds out - and just so there's no mistaking me for someone else will be topping it off with a purple dahlia.

So PD has been nominated as our go to man for all things pub eh ..> A bit of a thankless task round that area from memory. There's a small cafe area just inside the main entrance to Magna but maybe there'll be some special provision made for tonight - or perhaps not if they want us to behave and stay in our seats during the recording

Promise I'll open my "carrie ooot" Buckfast wine bottle very, very quitely - you won't even hear the paper bag rustle

Just called Magna and they aren't sure about "our" tickets but suggest getting there just before 6:00 pm and go to the VIP queue, not the standard queue. VIP opens at 6:00 pm and there is a bar inside. Everyone has to be seated by 7:15 and there will be a 20 min interval when the bar will be open again.

May go straight to Magna depending on time. If anyone is going to the pub suggested by PD, let me know......OH, by the way, that pub is supposed to be haunted!

We got to Sheffield and realised we had not left a key out for a pal to access the house and feed the dogs whilst we were away.

Having a diabetic dog we had no option but come home and give him a feed and a jab and miss the gig.

We're back home with about half an hour to go before the programme starts on BBC6

Just like to say thanks for a lot of kindness shown on here these past days it is truly appreciated ..>

'Tis rather spiffing isn't it

Using a laptop with a pair of cans - the sound from the TV was somewhat poor

The orchestra add a new dimension to the sound with increased dynamics and depth IMHO
