Really looking forward to the Liverpool Phil. Less chatter and better view than Manchester Academy. Students...bah!

I lost my Hawley virginity at the Phil in 2007 (?). And loved every second of it.

Was away from home in Mancland when these dates were announced so couldn't book anything before going back to work then couldn't decide which date(s) to do but some kind soul made up my mind for me by sorting out a pair of stall tickets at Liverpool Philly :D

It's a family member's birthday that day. but hey ho, will just have to celebrate early - or late

Same here! - I think...

My pre gig party starts here at about 7.00 am - and will consist of one pint as I will be driving back to the old shack post gig - that is if the Caledonia hasn't closed down - haven't been to the Phil since I don't know when...

Chris Woods in 2010?

Caledonia is excellent but I'll be having a couple of Guinness in one of the city's best pubs, the Roscoe Head, about 400 yards from the Phil.

http://www.sevenstreets.com/bars-and-ni ... scoe-head/

And, don't forget that Hope Street - home of the Phil - has just won Britain's best street award.

http://ljmu.ac.uk/NewsUpdate/index_124987.htm

On the Phil website all tickets except a handful of singles or back row are sold. On Ticketmaster yesterday there were some corkers in the grand circle which was 'sold out' on the Phil website. Do Ticketmaster bulk buy whole sections?

P.S. Mrs NewEggs asked if Hawley was playing in the 'Devil's Arsehole' this year? :)

Fuckin hell youd need to be an octopus to manage that beast. John Trier and his mighty organ ? Have you seen him support it before Poppy ?

Great pics being there in person is all that and more. Only downside i remember from the couple of shows i saw there was an iffy sound quality although that could be me. Anyway Timm conquers all ! Roll on the Troxy.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.
