Rather rashly seems I'm supposed to be away with the kiddies, I've booked mine, with a charming young man on the telephone. Seems he will guarantee that if I stand, there will be no-one with big hair in front of me. Nice chap. x

Went to the Campfire Trails gigs @ The Troxy a couple of years ago, seriously fuckin cool venue even if the security were morons but hey. I might try and get me along to this.

Dickie, happy to suggest great places to see round abouts. It is steeped in history and I think very beautiful. There are a couple of really quirky hotels nearby too if you're wanting something with more character than a holiday inn. Maybe we should sort out a London type meet up for beer and fish and chips in the grapes. And Eoin, it is a cool venue, saw Billy Bragg there and Dave Rawlings Machine were there last year but it was sold out within hours. Great Thai restaurant there too and a massage parlour called Sailors should any of you lads fancy a quick hand before matters commence. Xx

There was a nice little boozer called The Brewery Tap ? Close enough to the venue and another cool pub by Limehouse Station. I can't recall the massage parlour but I think there was a car wash if that's any use.

Next week, when I've got more time, I'll stick some suggestions on the Places thread. Limehouse has lots of claims to fame, for example it was Britain's first China Town, but it also has rather a reputation as a place men can meet other men. The White Swan near the station is big gay pub and it has two "sauna" establishments by the station, Chariots and Sailors, where you can get a quick servicing before heading out for the night. Whether you need the car wash or not depends on quite how dirty you've been... x

Yay! Two tickets booked for the Edinburgh HMV Picture House gig on February 18th! It used to be called the Caley Palais back in the day apparently. And it's right opposite my office, so all the better.

I've just looked it up and it the Railway Tavern rather than The Swan. I think it had a beer garden rather then the amenities suggested in the other establishment so the only happy ending you were getting was another pint and a whiskey chaser per say.

Can't make any of these dates. I'm in UK the week before. Gutted to miss out on this tour as well as the last. Any chance of festivals in summer 2013?
